According to DTN’s crop disease risk maps, corn fields throughout Ohio are already at a higher risk this year than in the past two years for Gray Leaf Spot, which is a serious crop disease affecting corn plants. Experts are indicating the risk is trending ahead of average by at least 2 weeks. Left untreated, crop diseases put the area’s yields in danger.

To date this season, some Ohio farmers have experienced 200 to 300 percent more rainfall than normal.
