Fungicide on soybeans a good call in 2018

Every harvest season can have a valuable lesson or two that a farmer will use to grow an even better crop in future years. Excess GDUs Causing Issues at Harvest

In Mid-September, many corn fields in Ohio had as many Growing Degree Units, or GDUs, that they would normally see in early October. High corn yields come with challenges

The one word that DuPont Pioneer Field Agronomist Bradley Ott used to describe early corn yield results in his area of Ohio was “crazy”. After some early checks he knew high numbers were out there, but to see those numbers come true at the end of the season is something Ott was pleasantly surprised to see. Although a record corn crop will put smiles on many farmers’ faces this year, there are some things to consider after this bin buster is harvested.
