The fifth and final session of the Convention was packed with highlights. The packed house heard from the band and chorus, talented soloists and State President Mary Bueller her impressive retiring address. The new officer team was announced and more than 900 FFA members were aware their State FFA Degree.
There was plenty in the packed Session 4 including the Creed Speaking Presentation, officer awards, a keynote presentation from National FFA Secretary Victoria Harris, CDE winner announcements, the Prepared Speaking Presentation, the Agriscience Fair recognition, and the Ohio FFA Officer parent recognition.
The 2017 Ohio State FFA Convention kicked off with a great first session. Ohio FFA donations were highlighted, school administrators were recognized, and the crowd heard an inspirational message from keynote speaker Amberley Snyder. The new officer candidates were also announced. They include:

Emily Bookless is a sophomore at Ridgewood High School located in West Lafayette. She enjoys playing soccer and loves to participate in school clubs such as STATS and FCA. She has been affiliated with FFA for two years now and is currently serving as reporter for the Ridgewood FFA Chapter. She likes CDEs such as Parliamentary Procedure, Ag Sales, and Livestock Judging. Outside of school, she shows hogs and llamas. She is also involved with the Kamelid Kushers 4-H Club and the Coshocton County Junior Fair Board.
Kolt Buchenroth is a senior in the Kenton-OHP FFA Chapter and has served as the reporter, president, and is currently the vice president of his chapter. He is also active in 4-H, student council, National Honor Society, and various other school organizations.
