Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast November 15, 2019

Continued dry weather over the region through the first half of next week. Sunshine so far has been a little tougher to come by than we had been hoping in parts of the state. This is mostly due to warmer air coming in over a very cold, and in some cases snow covered surface. This is creating a bit more cloud cover over the entire ECB. This should ease with time as we move through the weekend. WE still expect temps to slowly moderate each of the next few days, but generally we are still below normal, until at lest Tuesday-Wednesday of next week. There we get much milder, ahead of our next system.

The next well organized chance of precipitation comes with a front later next week. Clouds increase Thursday and then we see moisture arrive Thursday evening and continue through midday Friday. Moisture totals will be from .1″ to .6″ over 90% of Ohio. We expect all rain, but admit overnight lows Thursday night will be very close to being able to trigger some sloppy wet snow in northern areas. Still, everything should be done by Friday afternoon, and clouds will start to break there. That will be the one significant precipitation threat for the next 10 days. The map at right shows cumulative rain potential through the 10 day period.

Dry for the weekend next week on through into the following week (the week of thanksgiving). We cant rule out a few sprinkles or flurries for Tuesday the 26th, but moisture will be limited to a couple of tenths or less. This is much smaller than previously anticipated, but still has room to strengthen. Then after a dry lead up to Thanksgiving day, WE see clouds increase that Thursday afternoon. This will lead to a few scattered rain showers overnight thanksgiving night into Black Friday morning. Moisture totals will be minor. Then we see a dry and partly sunny finish to the month Friday and Saturday, the 29th and 30th.
