No change in the forecast this morning in terms of temps, number of systems and timing arrival. We are tweaking slightly precipitation totals from the system in the extended period, but other than that, everything looks similar.
We see some sunshine again today and sunshine is a major part of the forecast through the next 7 days. We are dry for that entire period, through at least next Wednesday. Temps will not be as cold today, and we will moderate just a little more tomorrow. For the weekend into early next week we get closer to normal, and then next Tuesday-Wednesday we can be pretty mild. WE are not really well above normal, but we are calling temps at midweek next week “mild” due to the stark contrast to what we have dealt with over the past few days. Sunshine will make all temps feel better too.
Our next system arrives next Thursday afternoon and evening and goes into Friday. Clouds build Thursday morning ahead of its arrival. Rains are likely, with totals from .3″ and down, but we expect 80% coverage. There is still some model disagreement on the systems timing, with some pushing back fully into Friday, but there is no doubt we have a system to deal with at some point late next week. Behind that front we return to full sunshine to finish out the 10 day period and go right through Monday the 25th, the first 2 days of the extended forecast window. The map at right shows cumulative moisture potential from now through next Friday.
Clouds increase Tuesday the 26th, and we have rain from late afternoon on through Wednesday the 27th. Rain totals look a little less substantial this morning, with .25″-.75″ potential, but coverage will be at a full 100% of Ohio. The good news is that we are done with precipitation by Wednesday night. That means thanksgiving on the 28th will be at least partly sunny, and then Black Friday, the 29th, we start with sun, but look for clouds to increase again ahead of another system for the final weekend in November.
