Two fully dry days are before us here as we move through today and tomorrow. We should see good sun each day, as the low pressure circulation from this most recent system lifts northeast toward Hudson Bay. We will remain cool, but relatively close to normal for this time of year.
On Friday we have a little batch of moisture streaking in for the morning hours from US 30 northward, and in there we cant rule out a shower or two. Moisture availability is low, so if we see anything, we would be looking more at a few hundredths. But, we will keep our eyes open there. The rest of the state (and the rest of the day, really) will turn out partly to mostly sunny.
There is a good bit of uncertainty around the arrival of our next well organized system for the entire state. Some models are bringing in action as soon as Friday late afternoon and evening, but keeping moisture totals low, while other models are giving a little more of a dry window ahead of the system, keeping it out until later Saturday and early Sunday, but bringing significantly larger rain totals. The known is that we will see rain, at some point late week and weekend, and the most general totals will be .25″-1″. However, timing and intensity are still tough to pin down right now…so we will wait for more data later today.
Behind that system we do go dry relatively quickly, and stay mostly sunny and dry through next Tuesday. Temps will be cool to start, but will moderate again by Tuesday afternoon. A cold front moves in quickly next Wednesday, triggering showers over most of Ohio. We expect rain totals to be .1″-.1″ over 80% of Ohio, but we may have a slightly higher focus along and north of I-70. Behind that front we finish the 10 day window with sunshine, a few clouds and colder air again.
The extended window continues that dry pattern with partly sunny skies for Saturday the 2nd. On the 3rd we see scattered showers over southern and southwest Ohio, but nothing anywhere else, and moisture totals will be pretty minor. After a dry start to the first week of November, we see rain on Tuesday the 5th with totals from .5″-1.5″ and coverage at 90%. Dry to finish the 11-16 day window with partly sunny skies and another good chill for the 6th and 7th.
