Sunshine returns to the state today. We may have to deal with a few lingering showers in far east or northeast OH this morning, but generally, we turn out partly to mostly sunny today, and stay that way through the rest of the week. While we cant completely rule out an isolated shower or two late Friday afternoon and evening, it really looks like that frontal boundary wants to fall apart before it gets here. If that continues to be the case, we will be partly to mostly sunny and dry now through Sunday.
Rains develop Sunday afternoon and continue through Monday. Combined 2 day rain totals can be from half to 1.5″ with coverage at 100% of the state. The Sunday action will be the more intense of the 2 days.
Dry next Tuesday. Then from Wednesday forward ,we are mostly dry, but have to deal with a couple of troughs potentially bringing in different air masses ot the region, and squeezing out a few showers as a result. The coverage is pretty poor, and totals very small, but it will be difficult to bring a fully dry day to all areas any of those days.
Strong high pressure does settle in next Friday, the 13th. This will feature cooler air surging southward, and will take temps into mid month to below normal levels. Between now and then, we will continue to see mostly normal to slightly below normal temps.
