Dry and warm the rest of this week. Sunshine dominates today through Saturday. Temps will be above normal through the period. Humidity values should be a bit lower today and tomorrow, but will start to climb again later in the week. Clouds increase Saturday afternoon.
Our next weather system arrives in Ohio Sunday afternoon and evening, then continues through Monday. This means we can see a couple of damp days back to back. Showers and thunderstorms are likely Sunday afternoon through Monday with rain totals from a few hundredths to .8″ combined over the two day period. Thunderstorms will not be a big part of the precipitation, but those will be what is needed to get any part of Ohio into the upper end of the precipitation range. We expect coverage to be around 50% of the state. The moisture seems to fall apart slightly as it moves east, leaving us with less coverage.
Tuesday Ohio sees clouds and limited sun, and we cant rule out scattered showers in NE Ohio, that may bring up to .2″. However, the coverage there will be just 30%. A similar set up comes at us for next Wednesday, with a mix of clouds and sun, but a chance of afternoon and evening.
We go fully dry again next Thursday to finish out the 10 day forecast window, and then start the extended 11-16 day period with Mostly sunny skies Friday, and sun followed by increasing clouds Saturday the 28th. Showers return to Ohio in limited form from Saturday overnight through Sunday the 29th, but we only see a few hundredths to a tenth or two, with coverage sitting at 30%. The better chances will be in NW Ohio and the far south central parts of the state. Sunny, colder and drier weather is back to finish the extended period, from Sunday afternoon (29th) through Wednesday October 2nd.
