Excess GDUs Causing Issues at Harvest

In Mid-September, many corn fields in Ohio had as many Growing Degree Units, or GDUs, that they would normally see in early October. That, says DuPont Pioneer Field Agronomist Alexandra Knight, along with hot temperatures well after summer, has caused some of the issues farmers are seeing as harvest continues. The Ohio Ag Net’s Ty Higgins has more in this week’s DuPont Pioneer Field Report.
