Taste of Summer celebrating the local harvest

To highlight Knox County agriculture and support United Way of Knox County, the Knox County Farm Bureau is hosting an event at Ann’s Raspberry Farm in Fredericktown.  A Taste of Summer, Celebrating Our Harvest will be held on Saturday, August 17 from 6pm to 9pm.  The evening will begin with hors d’oeuvres which will include award winning products produced at Ann’s Raspberry Farm.  While enjoying the local products, you are encouraged to take part in a short, self guided tour of the raspberry farm to see how Ann and Dan Trudel raise the red raspberries and Brussels sprouts for their products.  The four course dinner will take place over looking the valley to the north of Ann’s Raspberry Farm.  Smithhisler’s Catering Chef Rick Rollinger will bring together the bounty of Knox counties harvest to highlight the local foods grown on our farms. Many of the local farmers who produce the food will be present and would love to share their agriculture experiences with those who want to know more about Knox County agriculture.

Tickets are $75/person and must be reserved by July 22nd.  Space is limited.  For more information please contact the Knox County Farm Bureau at (800) 964-8184 or knox@ofbf.org
