About Ohio’s Country Journal
Ohio's Country Journal and the Ohio Ag Net are affiliated companies of Agri Communicators Inc. Agri Communicators is located in Columbus Ohio and has been since it's founding in 1972 by the late Ed Johnson. Ed was known as Ohio's ambassador of agriculture. The company is now owned and operated by his son and daughter in-law Bart and Sheryl Johnson.
Ohio's Country Journal was first published in 1992. The Johnson family saw a need for a farm publication that focused solely on Ohio's Agriculture and the people and events that make up Ohio's largest industry. Originally the Country Journal was published monthly; it is now published twice a month and is recognized as the premier farm publication that's focus is only Ohio.
The Ohio Ag Net was founded by Bart Johnson and Dale Minyo in 2007. Dale worked for the Johnson family after graduating from college in 1989 until 2002. The opportunity to start a new Farm Radio Network presented itself in early 2007. Dale and Bart rejoined forces and launched the Ohio Ag Net with the first day of programming in April 2007. The network started with 23 stations and has currently grown to 31 stations.
The Goal of Agri Communicators is to provide the Ohio farming community the information they need to help make their farm profitable, while also providing an enjoyable and entertaining experience through our print, radio, and online offerings.
About the Ohio Ag Net
With so much information available to today's farmers, it sometimes can be hard to know where to start. Now that dilemma is solved. The Ohio Ag Net offers a clear place to begin, with concise programs relevant to Ohio producers and an emphasis on Ohio's row crop agriculture. The Ohio Ag Net provides farm news and information to Ohio producers through traditional local radio stations, a web site, and custom daily reports delivered to farmers' computers through e-mail.
Ohio Ag Net listeners enjoy the experience of 13-year veteran farm broadcaster Dale Minyo. Minyo has been involved in agriculture all his life, and as Ohio's best-known farm broadcaster, he offers a strong connection to listeners and thoughtful insights they respect.
Ohio Ag Net parent company Agri Communicators was founded by the late Ed Johnson in 1972, to serve Ohio farm families, and is currently owned and operated by Johnson's son, Bart. Agri Communicators Inc. founded ABN Radio and TV. It produced daily radio reports for the ABN Radio Network and the weekly television show Agri Country. Currently, Agri Communicators publishes Ohio's Country Journal, Ohio's only farm newspaper dedicated exclusively to Ohio.
