3 Spring unfolds in Pleasant Valley with a Beekeepers Workshop at Malabar Farm, 12:00 noon to 3 p.m. Participants will learn about the benefits provided by these little insects as well as the basics of beekeeping. The workshop seminar will include beekeeping equipment assembly, the beekeepers suit, and hive demonstrations and splitting. Participants will also see a live "bee hive" and a candle-making demonstration. Pre-registration is required for this free program. The program will be held in the Malabar Farm Main Barn. Parking is available in the Visitors Center parking lot . All participants are encouraged to bring a face veil (not required) and to dress for the weather.
